Beautiful place, warm, clean and well equipped, great communication and directions, will definitely use again

We had a lovely stay at Staithes view and what a view it was! Dawn was most kind and helpful and the place was spotlessly clean and well maintained, it's lovely and quiet for a romantic getaway......we had no complaints, easy access to Easington, Staithes, Salt burn and Whitby by car, we will back in the spring/summer.....Thank you Dawn xx

The location was so peaceful and perfect for our trips out to staithes etc and the place itself had ample space.

Dawn and Maxwell are great hosts - extremely caring and thoughful. We arrived late in the night and given the darkness of the night, Maxwell was there to shine a torch for us to check-in. Dawn also messaged us on the impending fog and advised us to drive carefully. Such thoughtful gestures from both of them. The Cottage was well furnished for us to enjoy our stay and the hosts were very responsive to our requests. Place is very peaceful.

A gem to be experienced a beautiful, well presented cottage in a rural location with amazing views of countryside and the coast. Perfect for a peaceful break, 20 minutes from Whitby, less for Staithes and Saltburn, on the edge of the moors for walking. Dawn is a great host. We loved this place and would stay again

What a lovely place to stay. The cottage had everything we needed and the area is so peaceful. The bonus was being able to take our dog with us. Dawn was very helpful recommending areas to visit and suggesting the lovely Fox Inn where we had a delicious meal. Both Dawn and Max are quick at replying to messages. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We’ve had a wonderful break at Dawn’s place, it was a perfect base to explore the area and we felt comfortable and warm. Dawn and Max were responsive and very helpful with recommendations in the local area. The house was just as described and we found it very homely and well equipped.

We had a lovely stay in Dawns cottage. It was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely countryside location very peaceful and low light pollution. We was also lucky enough to see the northern lights during our stay, bonus

Had a wonderful week stay at Saithes View. Lovely cottage with everything you need for your stay. The set up of the cottage is excellent with both bedrooms having en suites. The host, Dawn, is always available if there is anything you need to know. We will try and come back in a couple of years as we enjoyed the week so much. Thanks Dawn

Great property in a great location with so many places of interest just a short drive away. Dawn is always on hand if required and was a pleasure to deal with.

We just returned from a few days at Staithes View and had a wonderful time. The cottage is exactly as described - the perfect, cosy break in the countryside. Dawn provides everything you could need and we appreciated the extra touches like the lap trays, kitchen essentials like tea/coffee etc. everything was spotless when we arrived with clear instructions on how everything works.

We’ll 100% return for another visit. Thank you Dawn!

We had a really great week at the cottage. It was spacious, very well equipped, nice and warm, peaceful with wonderful views over the hills. It seemed a lot bigger than the photos and we felt at home straightaway and both of us relaxed and really enjoyed ourselves.
The cottage is lovely and in a beautiful location, near to the seaside towns, woodland and moors of North Yorkshire. We could have stayed longer! I would definitely stay there again and I will recommend the cottage to friends and family.

We really enjoyed our stay at staithes view. The house was very well equipped with plenty of tea, coffee (with a delicious coffee pod machine), dvds, books and basics like toilet roll, dishwasher tablets etc. Dawn and Maxwell were really helpful & welcoming with great ideas for things to do. The surroundings were peaceful with beautiful views and walks and we even saw a barn owl. Thank you!

A great base to visit whitby, Robin Hoods bay and Scarborough as well as some lovely local areas.

Delightful private cottage, surrounded by countryside and on the north edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Very quiet and a gorgeous spot to explore from. Only 10 minutes drive from Staithes and not much further to the gorgeous seaside hamlet of Runswick Bay. All perfect for walking the Cleveland Way and for any dog. Our labrador loves swimming so the beach was just perfect. Dawn was lovely and friendly and was full of helpful information for the local area. Had a great time.

Staithes view is a lovely cottage in beautiful countryside with a great view over to the sea. It was peaceful with all the amenities that we wanted for a restful spring break. A lovely last minute holiday and place that was an answer to prayer. The kitchen was well set up. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was very nice along with a king size bed in the bedroom. The coast and the moors were equally accessible. We were glad to be able to keep our dog with us. Dawn was a friendly and helpful host.

Dawn was super helpful prior to our revival and made some great suggestions on places to visit, walks to take, and places to eat.

The house is very comfortable with everything you will need for your stay. Beds are super comfortable.

Would recommend.

Charming and very hospitable

Staithes View lives up to it’s name with an impressive vista looking towards the sea.
The cottage is clean & well appointed & inclusive luxuries & essentials does make a difference.
The track down had iced over but Dawn & Max proved to be intrepid & barrowed our bags down. It thawed overnight so no trouble.
Great location, about 10 minutes drive from the coast & we enjoyed our weekend.

Such an amazing find! So peaceful and absolutely gorgeous surroundings. Just a short drive to some lovely seaside spots and lots of lovely walks to be done. The accommodation was lovely and private and beautifully presented. Will definitely be back!!

Thoroughly loved staying in dawns property … it was cosy and warm when we arrived … tea coffee milk and biscuits … great instructions for the gadgets in the house … water red hot … beautiful surrounding and nice and quiet but ideal for visiting the area .. highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to go back

Lovely property in peaceful location

Great quiet rural location which is just what we wanted - home from home.
The cottage was lovely with great appliances - all working & clear instructions. Shower was fantastic. Everywhere very clean.
Enclosed patio was great for Bruce the dog who is still young. Leads required beyond the gate as local cats & animals which is understandable.
Lovely biscuits, a few coffee nespresso pods, milk & a few essential cleaning things which was great.
Overall a lovely location for a break. Thanks

A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay with a beautiful view. My husband, two teenage sons and I felt very at home. We were made to feel very welcome and Dawn thoughtfully sent us some ideas of things to do locally when the weather wasn't great one day. We visited Whitby, Runswick Bay, Scarborough and surfed in Saltburn during our week. Altogether, an active and enjoyable time.

Dawn's cottage is such a peaceful place and we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend it for any one looking to step out of London for a short work-catation.
We will definitely be back for another visit

I liked this place. The location reminds you how nice that north east coast is with Whitby, Saltburn, Staithes and Runswick Bay all close and just a short car journey from the cottage. I enjoyed my time staying here and would recommend it.

Really enjoyed our stay, such a peaceful place to stay with stunning views. The only thing for us was we needed to drive to everything but lots of beautifulplaces only a short drive away. Had a lovely visit to Staithes and Saltburn by the sea. The food at the Jolly Sailor was really good.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend here, everything was just perfect! Dawn was very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. We would highly recommend this cottage and will definitely be returning!

A beautiful location with stunning views, we stayed here whilst visiting Whitby for the Whitby Goth Weekend. Which was only a 20 minute car journey to the Park and Ride, or a 30 minute car journey to Whitby Centre, so this was ideal.

The place itself was very clean and had all the amenities we required. The owner even left us a welcome package of biscuits, milk, sugar, teabags and coffee.

Just got home after a long weekend at Staithes View and had a fantastic time. Great location, beautiful property and a fantastic host.

We had a lovely few days staying in the cottage. Had amazing views over the countryside and the sea. Was very clean and comfortable with lots of little extras that made our stay even more enjoyable. A great location for seeing the coast and surrounding countryside.

We had a fantastic stay at Staithes View. The cottage is incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated and is in a wonderful location, with amazing views across the fields to the sea. Soon after we arrived, my son said that it felt like home.
Dawn was an amazing host, really friendly and kind, very helpful in the run-up with all the information we needed and then on hand during our stay if we needed anything.
The cottage provided the perfect base for exploring the area, being so close to the coast and to the many fantastic beaches and coastal villages as well as the rest of the Moors and wider area.

We enjoyed our time in Dawn’s home. A lovely place, with plenty of space and beautiful views. Nice touches all around, and especially enjoyed the biscuits and cake as welcoming gifts. Short drives to Whitby and the Moors.

We had a wonderful stay here – highly recommended. The views are incredible and it’s very well placed for doing things with the kids. They also loved the novelty of having their own ensuite! Parking was great, kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and it was really clean (shouldn’t have to mention that, but on experience, you can’t take it for granted!) The hosts excellent DVD collection was an added bonus we weren’t expecting. Will be recommending this one to friends, and we’ll definitely be back.

Cute cottage with lovely views Communication with the owner was excellent throughout . A slight plumbing problem was dealt with immediately and didn’t spoil our holiday at all . There was a lovely welcome basket waiting for us and a big bottle of milk in the fridge . The bedrooms are a good size and nice comfy beds. We would not hesitate to book this cottage again

One word AMAZING! Me and my partner stayed with our 2 chihuahuas for 2 nights. When we arrived we was greated with a very clean tidy cottage. Dawn had even left us some tasty botham's of whitby tea biscuits, ginger parkin, tea bags. As well as a pint a milk. The bed was super comfy had no problem falling asleep after the long drive. The views are beautiful from the cottage, there is a sea view from the windows which is amazing. There is so many nice places nearby, the cottage is in a central location but still remote. Our last day we went to goathland (Heartbeat set and Hogsmede in first Harry Potter film) which was roughly 20 mins away, we took the steam train to whitby. Hands down one of the best weekends me and my partner have had. Our only negative was we didn't stay longer to do more exploring. We will definitely be back.

Staithes View provided a wonderful escape for my wife and I. A high quality cottage ideally placed for Staithes, Whitby, Saltburn amongst others.
Views from the cottage are stunning it has all you need for an enjoyable stress free stay.
Dawn is an attentive host making sure we were settled and available if we had questions. Her communications and directions were outstanding and made arrival easy.
The cottage was warm and extra touches like a welcome pack made it a special stay.

Lovely well equipped cottage in a great location

It was the best stay we ever had! Highly recommend it to everyone. It was even more than we wished for. We will come back soon. It is a kind of different world which you dreamed about for so long. The most beautiful views around, just from the window!

Wow that’s all I can say to describe this wonderful place. Very easy to communicate with Dawn as nothing was a problem, I would 110% recommend it as you won’t be disappointed, will definitely go back at the drop of a hat,

Incredible find. Cottage in beautiful elevated setting with fantastic views. Feels delightfully remote but is in fact just a few minutes drive to sea, beach.
Accommodation spotlessly clean, extremely warm and cosy, surprisingly spacious - master bedroom had a walk-in wardrobe! Very comfortable beds, kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need, was perfect for the two of us, kids will love it when we come back, and we 100% will - TV has Amazon prime movies and Netflix! Dawn was perfect host, communication was clear simple and prompt throughout. Welcome basket on arrival was both unexpected and a real treat, Dawn had gone the extra mile with it - as she has done with so much else.
